Miter Gauge Fence

Add accuracy and consistency to your crosscutting, using this auxiliary miter gauge fence.

An auxiliary fence provides more support for the workpiece than the miter gauge itself. But what you'll like best about this auxiliary fence is that it includes a movable, built-in stop block, so you can cut several pieces to the exact same length. A measuring tape attached to the back of the fence makes it easy to position the stop block accurately. For real precision, you can add a hairline indicator so you can lock the stop block at an exact spot on the measuring tape.

With slight modification, the miter gauge fence can also be used for 45-degree miter cuts. The fence itself doesn't change, only the way it's positioned on your miter gauge.

The main parts of the fence and stop block are built from hardwood. A simple toilet bolt and plastic knob allow the stop block to slide along the fence. The fence attaches to your miter gauge with threaded inserts and machine screws.

Overall dimensions: 1-7/8" thick x 26 long x 4-1/4" high
