The shop, photo & video studios, and offices of Woodsmith are located in Des Moines, Iowa. If you're traveling through, please stop in for a tour and a chat. We were to talk woodworking, answer your questions.
The Video Studio
Part of what makes Woodsmith & ShopNotes unique is that the content is produced in house. Chris, John, and Dillon design the projects. Marc & Steve build them. Erich, Rob, and I write the instructions. Todd, Dirk, Becky, and Bob handle the drawings and photos.
The Photo studio
All of that happens at 2143 Grand Ave. Des Moines.
You can also see what's going on the studio set for filming TV show episodes, YouTube videos, podcasts. We keep quite a few projects around the building as part of our permanent collection. You'll also see recent projects that need to be photographed or have yet to appear. So you can see the projects and details up close. Open the drawers, take photos, get inspired.
You're sure to find several of us here Monday-Friday (except holidays). Others work mostly from home, but drop in time to time to stay connected to the projects getting built.
