This jig and your router table helps you cut stopped slots in the mitered corners of the nightstand or any case piece. It holds the workpieces steady and at the proper angle while making the slot.
Figure 1 shows how to position the jig on the router table. The jig is held in place with double-sided tape. Figure 2 shows the workpiece dropped in place. (Hold the point of the miter against the stop and lower it onto the bit.) Figure 3 shows how to mark the location of the bit edges on the stop.
