Whew. Woodworking In America is in the rearview now. It was a great time and more than made up for all the meetings, emails, meetings, moving benches, and meetings. On to the next!
Logan, John, and I talk through some highlights as well as a few ideas we have for next year's event. When will that be? Dunno. But we have a much earlier start on it compared to the 24 event.
Logan's presentation featured his new bandsaw mill. Both John and I helped get it assembled. Now that Logan's put it to use, he is pretty pleased with how it's functioning. He's even taken the time to customize it — think cup holder.
Logan is working on a project from his friend Norman. It's a box that was used to store small linens: handkerchiefs, napkins, etc. As a patternmaker, Norman has a raft of jigs and setup aids for the various steps. Logan has to both figure out what each jig does and make the project. Being a Scandinavian piece, the originals were painted in a rosemaling style.
John is working on a plywood dresser as well as a few jigs for the table saw for ShopNotes.
